User study

I've talked to 7 users both interior designers and clients. Identifying pain points, areas for improvement, and understanding user needs for effective decision-making, gathering valuable and actionable insights.

Why?

1.

It’s hard to decide on something without really seeing it

Clients can’t fully visualize the final look, making decisions uncertain.

2.

Decision overload

Too many decisions at once, combined with a dynamic workflow, create confusion.

3.

Objectivity slips away, doubt slips in

After endless viewing, clients lose sight of the brief and preferences that guided their design decisions.

The problem

Interior designers struggle in leading clients to make decisions

Design visualization

As part of this process, designers use item collages to show how room elements work together.

With many items—boutique finds, handmade pieces, and big-chain products—available only as images, collages remain the most effective method.

What is home furnishing?

Home furnishing (or styling) is the final phase of the interior design process between designers and clients, deciding on all home furniture. It can be the concluding step or a standalone service.

These screens focus on the client-side mobile app, specifically step 3 of the process.

Step 3

In this step, clients are asked to review and approve the complete room designs presented by the designer before purchasing the items. Some items may offer two options to choose from. Upon request, new items can be added or replaced. This is where confusion and indecisiveness often occur.
